About the Foothills Naturalist Program:
The Foothills Naturalist Program provides adult participants with both ecological knowledge and a sense of community through outdoor experiential education opportunities on lands permanently protected by FCNC.
About this FREE course:
In Aquatic Ecology, participants will explore the biotic and abiotic factors that make Western North Carolina uniquely beautiful and biodiverse. We will gather at Possum Rock River Access.
Highlights include:
Catching and identifying macroinvertebrates
Learning river flow terminology while enjoying the beautiful Henry Fork River
Connecting with fellow community members in our shared love of our wild spaces!
