View St Artist Market Saturday 13th June, 10am – 2pm
Come celebrate our View St arts precinct with an artist market on Saturday 13th June 10am – 2pm. Come down for breakfast, coffee or lunch and check out live art demonstrations, artist talks, stalls, and you can even get your dog’s portrait done!
Highlights include:
• Mosaic workshop by Kirsten Asche-Woodger outside Dudley House.
• Dog Portraits by Ginnie McKenzie outside the Capital Theatre.
• Pottery Demonstration with Felicity Burman
• Water Colour demonstrations by Sarah Wallace-Smith at Valentines Antique Gallery Laneway.
• Free artist talk with Aunty Janet Bromley, Yorta Yorta artist at Valentine’s Antique Gallery at 12pm.
• Live Painting by Ro Windust at Augustus Gelatery.
• T-shirt screen printing with Lou Davis outside Tough Cookie.
Artists involved as follows: Steven Stanley, Isabelle Kawai Vincent, Kirsten Asche-Woodger, Sharon Hocking, Ro Windust, Kate Bickerton, Harold Beck, Candace Tang, Linda Hermens, Felicity Burman, Donut Studios, Amber Collet, Louise Davis, Janet Bromley, Alicia Thomas, Chris Duffy, Sarah Wallace-Smith, Frankie O, Kim Lowe, Ginnie McKenzie.
Dudley House will also be hosting the opening of 'Arcana' which explores the timeless and mysterious symbolism of the tarot through a collection of newly created artworks from various local artists, from 2pm to 5pm
View Street Amplified will have an impressive lineup of performers on Saturday June 13 including: Louise MacGregor and blues guitarist Sam Pollock (playing 11am to 12pm), Melbourne’s contemporary world music group The Royal High Jinx (12.30 to 2pm), jazz and classic pop tunes from Sultry Sistas (2.15pm to 3pm) plus DJ Funkmaster Vinnie will be on the decks in between sets.
