Come join us for a fun-filled day of Viennese Waltz workshops and social dancing at the Wessex Hotel !
This weekend is best suited to those with experience of dancing Viennese Waltz but if you have a sound understanding of Waltz you should be able to cope too! This event is perfect for anyone looking to improve their Viennese Waltz skills and meet new people.
Our talented instructors will guide you through the steps, so don't worry if you're new to the dance. After the workshops, put your new moves to the test during our social dancing session which includes a variety of Ballroom and Latin American dances, including Salsa & Argentine Tango. Get ready to twirl and glide across the dance floor in style!
The weekend includes dinner on both Friday and Saturday night, along with breakfast both mornings.
Saturday morning we host a 2 hour workshop (with a coffee break) to build up an increasingly challenging variety of steps or sequences, and it's absolutely fine to just practice earlier moves if you reach your limit. On Sunday we have a 90 minute recap session, and sometimes add in some bonus moves.
There is an optional 'Improver Your Viennese Waltz Technique' class on the Saturday afternoon for a £9pp supplement.
Saturday night we have a 'Viennese Ball' theme which can be interpreted however you like, but is not compulsory (however most people do dress for the theme).
Places costs £225pp and we have limited double rooms remaining, a few twins, but only two solo rooms (which incur a £60 single supplement fee from the hotel). Please contact us to confirm availability before booking.
