Join Joby and signwriting friends for a Signwriting Open Day on Saturday 8 March at his new signwriting workshop in Street, Somerset. It’s an ‘open house’ type event where you can come and see all of the different styles of hand painted signs on the walls of the workshop and you’ll be able to watch signwriting demonstrations from Joby and other signwriters he has invited along.
The event is a chance to ask questions about signwriting and traditional decorative skills or to simply watch, enjoy and take photos of these traditional decorative skills in action.
You will have the chance to buy a copy of either of Joby’s signwriting books and get it signed by Joby.
Signwriting supplies, Joby’s fine art prints, fridge magnets and jigsaws and the hand painted alphabet letters from Joby's book All the Fonts of the fair will also be available to buy.
If you’re coming from far away and want to make a day or weekend of it, you may also like to visit Clark’s village which is one mile away, Glastonbury Tor is 10 minutes away, Wells city 15 minutes away or Wookey Hole caves 20 minutes away.
