Join the Vaughan International Film Festival (VFF) in partnership with the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) for a special 30th Anniversary celebration of Independence Day (1996) — one of the most iconic blockbuster films of all time.
This private screening will take place at the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema, bringing audiences together for an immersive big-screen experience of the film that redefined cinematic spectacle.
Following the screening, stay for an exclusive live Q&A with Val Kuklowsky, Supervising Sound Editor and Mark Lanza, Sound Editor of Independence Day, as they share behind-the-scenes insights into the film’s groundbreaking sound design and production.
The evening continues with a post-screening afterparty, at Convivium (83 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M5C 1S8) offering guests the opportunity to connect, celebrate, and continue the conversation with fellow film lovers and industry creatives.
