Vesper Chorale announces auditions for its upcoming concert season on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 6:30–9:00 PM at Kern Road Mennonite Church. Auditions are open to adults of all ages, and singers will be assigned a 15-minute time slot.
Audition Preparation: Please prepare one short piece (a hymn verse, art song, folk song, or aria). An accompanist will be provided.
Rehearsals: Weekly on Thursdays, September–May, 6:30–9:00 PM at Kern Road Mennonite Church.

UPCOMING SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Fall Concert: "Mending the Sky" | November 22
Built around Jake Runestad’s piece "We Can Mend the Sky," the fall program features traditional pieces arranged by Shawn Okpebholo, Moses Hogan, and Shawn Kirchner, alongside sacred masterworks by Pietro Mascagni and Hubert Parry. Devotional works by Richard Nance, Zanaida Robles, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Arvo Pärt, and Jonathan Sheffer will be woven in alongside beloved modern classics.
Spring Collaborative Concert: Spring features an exciting collaborative performance with multiple regional choirs. Final details will be announced soon!

Thursday, August 27 | 6:30–8:00 PM | Kern Road Mennonite Church
Interested singers are invited to a casual open rehearsal and get-together! Join current choir members for a sneak peek and sight-reading of the season’s repertoire, followed by food and fellowship. It’s a great, low-pressure opportunity to meet the choir and see how we work before the following week's auditions. No RSVP or music required—just bring yourself!
