About this Event
The festival of Vesak encapsulates the energy of Enlightenment. Whether we call it “Nirvana”, “Moksha”, “Ascension”, or “Christ Consciousness”, it is the very goal of our evolutionary journey as spiritual beings living a physical existence.
Even the word “Buddha” means “enlightened one” or “enlightened state”. And the historical Buddha had devoted his life and teachings to help us uncover this very state – our Buddha nature – which is already within us. In fact, it is our very core.
The only challenge? We have been so muddled in human experience that we have become ignorant of this state. All the dramas, emotions, concepts and attachments of human life have caught us in a never-ending cycle – what the Buddha calls suffering.
And it is on days like Vesak, that we connect with the energy of the Buddhas – all the Enlightened Ones and Ascended Masters – to receive their wisdom and healing, reminding ourselves of our enlightened nature, and accelerating our quest to unravel it.
