The Virginia Beer Company will host the 3rd year of our Singer, Songwriter Storytellers performances in collaboration with Kudlz Entertainment. Original music will be showcased over several weeks and you can get to hear some of the stories behind the songs.April 5th, We showcase 2 local favorites and William & Mary graduates. Sammy Lee & Clayton Perry have entertained the Williamsburg area for years and many others across multiple states. This show is going to be a fun as Sammy & Clayton share the stage and stories.
Rooted in blues tradition, Sammy has a soul that wails. Cadence-driven, acoustically inclined, Motown folk is showcased in his pristine and energetic performances, with stylistic nods towards the cities that have provided him with his unique sound. Over a decade of vocal expertise allows this rough and dirty baritone to stun audiences with a range that bewilders, a devastatingly honest lyrical vulnerability, and a power and range that leaves Sammy in a category all his own.
Clayton Perry is a Virginia based singer-songwriter, via Ocean City, MD who mixes genres and styles throughout his music, like a good recipe, to keep things fresh and interesting. You'll hear rock, pop, country and reggae, all with a smooth vocal and tasteful guitar playing that Clayton has become known for. His original work and recorded covers are available on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify. Notable releases include: In the Making (Album, 2020) featuring tracks like "Not the Only One" and "Flowers". Seasons (Album, 2011/2017) which includes his popular cover of Maroon 5’s "Sunday Morning", which has surpassed one million streams
