About this Event
Pelican Island Audubon offers a van excursion to Daytona to the Museum of Arts & Sciences to see the Visions of Florida exhibit by Clyde Butcher, a photographer often called the "Ansel Adams of Florida", and the Audubon's Birds of Florida exhibit. The Audubon's Birds of Florida exhibit includes nearly eighty original prints, paintings, and related artifacts from John James Audubon's time in Florida in 1831.
This visit will also include a reception and talk by Lee Dunkle, a local Volusia County photographer, who creates large-format, black-and-white photographs of Florida’s natural landscapes that have changed the way people think of Florida and will compare her photography to those found in Clyde Butcher's Visions of Florida. The reception and talk is from 5:30PM to 8:00PM.
Discover an undisturbed paradise that is rapidly disappearing; journey into the realm of natural Florida – a world seldom seen either by tourists or longtime residents.
