Trip/area Description, with any special characteristics: We will visit several areas within the refuge: Head of Birds Impoundment Trail, Centennial Trail, Joe Michael Trail, and Jungle Bird Pond. We will bird at all of these areas and provide some history of the refuge including how and why it was preserved.
Duration of trip in hours: 2 – 2 ½ hours. Walking distance: about 2000 feet on Centennial boardwalk.
Degree of difficulty, and any special instructions: Easy, as most of the tour will be by tram, disembarking at birding spots.
Where you’d like participants to meet: North entrance off A1A to Jungle Trail and park at the restrooms at the northern parking spot.
Time of meeting: 7:50 A.M.
Number of participants limit: 14 people.
