NORSK (English below)
Kunstnergruppen Norwegian Worldwide Artists (NWA), består av kunstnere med ulik kulturell bakgrunn. Gruppen har samarbeidet om prosjekter, diskusjoner og faglig utveksling siden 2007.
De arbeider alle i dag i Norge, men sitter med erfaring, tilknytning og historie fra land over hele verden.
Som kunstnere arbeider de alene, men kommer sammen for felles prosjekter. Gjennom prosjektene ønsker de å belyse hvordan nettopp en mangekulturell bakgrunn kan representere styrke og rikdom både for mennesket og kunsten.
Til tross for store forskjeller i uttrykksform, teknikk, alder og bakgrunn, skaper de sammen en helhet som ingen kunne skapt alene.
Med på denne utstillingen er:
Irene Christensen, fra Norge og USA
Wendelmoed van der Veen fra Nederland med tilknytning til Sri Lanka, bosatt i Norge
Grete Marstein fra Norge som i mange år har arbeidet i Slovakia og i en rekke andre land
Eva Jingsue, fra Kina, og nå Norge
Kari Glomsaas fra Norge, med erfaringer spesielt fra Øst-Afrika og landene rundt Indiahavet
ENGLISH
The artist group Norwegian Worldwide Artists (NWA) consists of artists with different cultural backgrounds. The group has collaborated on projects, discussions and professional exchanges since 2007.
They all work in Norway today, but have experience, connections and history from countries all over the world.
As artists, they work alone, but come together for common projects. Through the projects, they want to shed light on how a multicultural background can represent strength and richness for both people and art.
Despite major differences in expression, technique, age and background, together they create a whole that no one could have created alone.
Participating in this exhibition are:
Irene Christensen, from Norway and the USA
Wendelmoed van der Veen from the Netherlands with connections to Sri Lanka, living in Norway
Grete Marstein from Norway who has worked in Slovakia and a number of other countries for many years
Eva Jingsue, from China, and now Norway
Kari Glomsaas from Norway, with experiences especially from East Africa and the countries around the Indian Ocean
