"Valerie and the rain is the musical universe of composer and singer-songwriter Valerie Van Roey. Inspired by artists such as Joni Mitchell, Linda Perhacs and Vashti Bunyan, she writes intimate songs with a narrative character. Over the past year, her music has grown into an exciting new live project, bringing together musicians from Cornish bands The Odd Folk and Kizamba, alongside singer and multi-instrumentalist Martin Jackson. For one special night only, the full ensemble will come together for a one-off UK performance at The Acorn.
Valerie’s debut album, Your Name, was recorded in the mountains of southern France with producer Felix Machtelinckx. The album is set for release in March 2026, offering a beautiful new chapter in her unfolding musical journey."
