About this Event
What to Bring
- A candle
- A pre-written journal entry (prompt below)
- Anything else you'd like at your altar (crystals, tarot, etc)
What to Expect
Whether you have never been to a circle before or this is your 15th time, I welcome you. No two circles are ever the same. The evening starts with happy hour and light refreshments before settling into circle as a group. We meditate to my Nepali singing bowls and then we will read one another's journal entries out loud. Please don't worry - all of us are in the same boat (I write an entry, too) so it's completely okay if you feel awkward or vulnerable about your thoughts being shared. Try to write from the heart as much as possible. We don't have enough spaces for true open, non-judgmental dialogue anymore and that's the goal of this circle and community.
What to Write
Please write 1-2 pages typed up on your phone/computer or handwritten in response to any of the following questions. You do not need to respond to all of them but you are welcome to if you feel called. Take a look at the next section below for more inspiration.
- In what ways have I been holding back my unique talents or passions? How can I courageously share my authentic self with the world?
- How do I contribute to the greater good of the world? Are there any group settings that I don't feel like my individuality is being truly integrated and expressed? (Work, family, friends etc)
- What fears or beliefs are preventing me from stepping into the spotlight? What actions will I take to step more boldly towards it?
- How do I feel about Valentine's Day? And the idea of having a "valentine"?
What's going on in the cosmos?
This full moon is often nicknamed the Snow Moon, since we are in the peak of winter, a time of deep introspection and. inner warmth amidst the freezing cold and dark days outdoors. In the Gregorian calendar, Valentine's Day is tomorrow - so if you are feeling compelled to reflect on romantic relationships and love in your life, please feel free to also do so. You may write whatever comes
Just before we gather on Thursday, she'll will reach her peak in the constellation of Leo, a zodiac sign known for its fierceness. The duality between Leo's brave, bold independence and Aquarius' knowledge of collective consciousness invites us to look within about ways to balance our sense of individuality with our community.
