Valentine's Day Swing Dance on the historic USS Hornet

Picture the romance of a WWII sailor returning from war to his sweetheart…and now come recreate this feeling aboard the USS Hornet aircraft carrier on Valentines Day.

The USS Hornet is opening up its bulkheads and hatches for a 1940’s swing dance on February 14. This evening will feature drinks, dancing and a whole lot of nostalgia and romance. The Bay Area’s unavoidably swingin’ big band, the Death and Taxes Swing Band will provide an evening of great music for dancing or listening. Come as a couple or come to meet someone!

At 6:30 doors will open for drinks and appetizers, and then at 6:45 there will be a short introduction about the history of the ship. At 7:00 there will be a short dance lesson and then the Death and Taxes Swing Band will take you back to the 1940’s until around 9:00.

Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door.

This is an 18+ age event. No children allowed.

The Death and Taxes Swing Band is unavoidably swingin'. You've heard all the usual swing bands, time to check out something a little different. Featuring extra danceable arrangements, sultry vocals, and a whole lot of rhythm.
