Chiara Izzi is one of the most prominent vocalists on the international music scene, having made her mark since relocating permanently to New York City and quickly becoming one of its most sought-after voices. Her move followed a major career milestone: winning first prize for best vocal performance from Quincy Jones at the prestigious . Known for her refined combination of jazz traditions and contemporary styles, Chiara also draws on Italian songwriting and Brazilian music. She is also a composer, with her song awarded Best Jazz with Vocals at the in 2020. Her latest releases include Live In Bremen (Dot Time Records/2022) which embodies a classical richness enhanced by Izzi’s stylistic method of blending her lyrics and languages, and Across The Sea (Jando/2019), a cooperative project with pianist Kevin Hays. She has performed at top venues including Birdland Jazz Club, The Kennedy Center, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, and the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), with critics praising her as "a force of nature" (All About Jazz) and "a talent to be heard, admired, and anticipated" (Jazz Times).
