The UWL Research Conference 2026, organised by the Research Support Unit (RSU), focuses on the relationship between research and practice.
About this Event

We are excited to announce the annual UWL Research Conference hosted by the Research Support Unit (RSU). This year’s theme, Research and Practice, will bring together researchers and partners to explore how academic research can engage effectively, collaboratively and symbiotically with the relevant stakeholders. The conference is open to staff and external partners and will take place in Weston Hall on 21 October 2026, 9:30-15:00.
This year, we are implementing an inaugural set of UWL Research Awards to acknowledge and highlight UWL academics and research projects that demonstrate unique and innovative ways of engagement with their stakeholders. Applications will open for the two awards: Co-design and Creativity. We welcome applications from all UWL staff. You can apply here, and the panel looks forward to receiving your submissions.
