Urban Sketchers is a global community dedicated to the practice of on-location drawing. Its goal - "sharing our love for the places where we live and travel, one drawing at a time." Urban Sketchers Dubuque is one of over 500 chapters. For this event, three Bluff Strokes Paint Out artists will share their Urban Sketching experiences, materials, and sketches. Following this we will sketch in the area. We encourage you to bring children to introduce sketching into their lives.
What to bring:
- 4B pencil, a kneaded Eraser, and a sketchbook – these will give you a great start!
- Pens, small watercolor kit – add these to add interest.
- Portable stool, towel or scarf to sit on – your preference.
- Comfortable clothes appropriate to the weather.
