Description: September is an excellent time to explore Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve. The site sits along the lakefront migration corridor, so early and mid season migrants often move through the area. Warblers, vireos, flycatchers, and thrushes can appear in good numbers, and the open lakefront offers chances for gulls and terns. Sparrows begin to increase as the month progresses, and blackbirds gather in small flocks. The preserve’s mix of meadow, shrubs, and lake views makes it a strong location for an Urban Bird Walk during fall migration.
