UPROOT Exhibition Program Series: Landbody Movement with King Sage

Join us on Saturday, August 22nd at 5:00 pm at EarthSeed UPROOT Exhibition Program Series: Landbody Movement with King Sage! Join us for an exciting in-person event at NorthStar Church of the Arts. Get ready to experience a unique blend of movement and creativity with King Sage. Landbody is a somatic release ritual that guides participants through a series of movement and breathing exercises created by King in collaboration with the Lands (Earth and water) of the Eno River and the whispers of Spirit. Landbody attempts to help workshop participants reground in nature using our senses and their inherent connection to the natural world around us. Throughout the workshops, folks will have the chance to rebuild their sense of inner knowing while deepening their trust in the Land’s capacity to co-hold and transmute our deepest, darkest, and heaviest emotions. Landbody invites folks to lean into the discomfort of rage, disappointment, grief, sadness, and emotional complexities — we will ask the Land for guidance in our individual and collective movement and breathing investigations of our emotional landscape. When we don’t have the answers in our minds, we know that our bodies wisdom and connection to the Earth around us hold multitudes. They are just waiting for us to access the wealth.
