Are you a movie buff or a fan of live musical performances? Durham Parks and Recreation presents Rhythm & Reels, a FREE summer concert and movie series that takes place at a number of Durham's most beautiful parks throughout the Bull City.
No matter what your musical preference is or your favorite movie genre, there is something for everyone. Sit back, relax and enjoy family and friends while grooving to music or watching a movie on a big screen. Attendees may bring their own food or purchase food from a rotating line-up of local on-site vendors curated by DPR.
Seating: Bring your own picnic blanket or chair. No alcohol or smoking allowed.

Internationally known as "the DJ who toured with Michael Jackson," Youtha Fowler, professionally known as simply N.A.B.S, continues to demonstrate why he is one of the most prolific DJs of his time. In Atlanta, he became a true pioneer in the industry, transitioning from a nightclub DJ to a legend with his "In the Lab with DJ Nabs™" brand, comprising a radio show, club night, and debut studio album on Columbia Records. Throughout his career, N.A.B.S has collaborated with a roster of decorated entertainers across radio, music, television, and sports, including Kris Kross, Mariah Carey, Ludacris, Lil Jon, and Shaquille O’Neal.
In 2018, The GRAMMY Museum honored N.A.B.S in an exhibition, acknowledging his significant contribution to Atlanta’s music scene through his association with So So Def Recordings. Now, N.A.B.S joins the ranks as one of North Carolina’s Most Iconic Music Figures and Durham Parks and Recreation's 2024 Homegrown Hero Award Recipient!
