Do you have clothes you don't wear anymore and want to make something new out of them? Come learn how to make a memory tote bag.
About this Event

Do you have clothes or preloved fabric with a sentimental value and want to make something that you can take with you everyday? Take the day to yourself and make a memory tote bag.

This upcycling workshop is 5 hour long with half an hour break for lunch. You can bring your own lunch or walk to the mersey square to find food.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn how to make a tote bag using a sewing machine
  • Learn how to reuse your clothes or preloved fabrics like curtains, bedsheets, tablecloth etc...
  • Customise your tote bag
  • Spend 4.5 hours making something with your hands
  • Connect with other people
  • Take home a keepsake bag that you'll want to take with you everywhere

Beginner friendly. All materials are provided. Feel free to bring old clothes or fabrics you want to use.

Best fabrics to use for the outside are the ones made of natural fibers like cotton t shirt, linen pants. Jeans work well too. Don't bring something too thin or too elastic. For the inside, bedsheets are the best.

I have 3 sewing machines available or you can bring your own.

Children under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult. All must have a ticket.
