UoA Midsem TTRPG One-Shots
About this Event
Join us for a full-day TTRPG one-shot event hosted by the Auckland Roleplaying Guild, a UoA club. This is a relaxed, social day of tabletop role-playing, with multiple games running across two long sessions and space to try something new or settle into a longer adventure.
This event is designed so that everyone who attends can play Table Top Roleplaying for the full day
Our April Double One-Shots hit its sign-up goal and we ran 8 GMs across the day. This is the same event, on a Sunday, during semester two's mid-semester break.
🎟️ Tickets
Standard ticket sales close at 6:00pm on Saturday 29 August. Door sales open at 8:30am on Sunday (30 minutes ahead of doors opening), however lunch availability cannot be guaranteed for door purchases.
- 💵 $8 – GMs (50% discount)
- 💵 $12 – Club members (25% discount)
- 💵 $16 – Non-members
Ticket prices are set to cover food for the day and basic administrative costs required to run the event. GM and club member tickets require a valid discount code.
Want to GM? GM tickets are half price. Use and receive a discount code after filling it out.
🎲 How Games Work
- Players do not sign up for specific games in advance.
- All planned games will be advertised ahead of time.
- On the day, players will choose games and be seated based on interest and table availability.
- Some games are continuous two-session adventures, while others are separate one-shots that may run once or twice.
- Not every advertised game is guaranteed to run — final scheduling depends on player interest and GM availability.

- 9:00am — Doors open
- 9:15am — Morning games begin
- 1:15pm — Lunch
- 2:00pm — Afternoon games begin
- 6:00pm — Event ends

🥪 Food
Food will be provided for attendees as part of the event. We plan to offer simple lunch items such as club sandwiches and mini quiches, including a variety of vegetarian options. There will also be complimentary potato chips and soft drinks offered through the day, all covered by your ticket. A majority of each ticket goes toward covering food for the day, alongside basic venue and event costs.
Food is prepared the day before, based on advance ticket numbers — buying early genuinely helps us feed everyone properly.
