About this Event
Join me for a relaxed early evening of art, conversation and shared exploration at the National Gallery.
We’ll meet at 5.15pm outside the Sunley Room before heading in together for the 5.30pm entry to the Joseph Wright of Derby exhibition.
Please book your own “pay what you wish” exhibition ticket for 5.30pm on 17 April in advance via the National Gallery website ().
Joseph Wright’s dramatic, light-filled paintings open up fascinating questions around science, industry and society during the Industrial Revolution and the Age of Enlightenment.
This is not a formal tour, but a hosted, informal visit — we’ll explore the exhibition together, share observations, and reflect on the artist’s life, ideas and influences in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Afterwards, we’ll take a gentle stroll through the gallery, and for those who wish, continue to a nearby café or restaurant.
✨ Culture without pressure. Come as you are.
