If the future feels unchangeable, how can alternate worlds open up to other possibilities?

Para Site藝術空間第八屆國際研討會匯聚世界各地的藝術家、學者與創意工作者，共同以「推想」來重塑我們對科技現實的認知。在為期一天的活動中，我們邀請觀眾打破所有對於未來的既定預設，重新看待和想像圍繞並形塑我們生活的科技。

Para Site’s 8th International Conference convenes globally renowned artists, thinkers, and creatives to explore how speculative practices are reshaping our understanding of a technologically mediated present. Over the course of a full-day programme, you are invited to unsubscribe from any and all versions of the future and reimagine our relationships to the technologies that surround and shape us.

Para Site國際研討會免費向公眾開放，歡迎大家一同重新定義我們當下與科技交織共存的生活。上午環節將探討藝文工作者與數碼次文化如何運用語言系統、敘事及「構建世界」的策略，主動介入並改寫與科技發展重重交錯的文化現實。下午環節則著眼資源獲取、能動性與集體行動等議題，闡述亞太地區的各類實踐如何借助開源文化與協作網絡，培育出更公平、更包容的生態系統。

The programme is free of charge and welcomes anyone interested in imagining diverse ways of living with—and through—the technologies shaping our lives today. The morning session considers how practitioners and digital subcultures employ language systems, storytelling, and worlding strategies to actively intervene in and reshape the cultural realities woven into technological advancement. The afternoon session turns towards questions of access, agency, and collective action, highlighting practices across the Asia-Pacific that draw on open-source cultures and collaborative networks to cultivate more equitable and accessible ecosystems.
