Welcome to our online event Understanding Brain-Differences – Finding Identity, Shifting Perspective, Promoting Curiosity!
This workshop allows parents, teachers and service providers to explore how to assist individuals with FASD or other Neurodevelopmental Disorders in navigating their brain-differences. This half-day workshop will provide opportunities for exploration around walking alongside neurodivergent individuals who are on a journey of understanding what it means to be neurodivergent and how to explain this to others.
Facilitator: Robyn Sugden, BA
Robyn is the Community Engagement Worker at Red River North CTS Inc. Robyn has a variety of experience in the social services field. Most of her experience is working with individuals with FASD and she has over 10 years of experience in this field. She also has experience working with other neurodevelopmental disorders, and has worked in harm reduction, sexual exploitation and with justice involved individuals. Robyn is a certified Circle of Security Parenting program facilitator. She is passionate about the work that she does and loves to present through storytelling.
The workshop will be over Zoom. A link will be sent out the week before the event to those who register.
**A minimum of 10 attendees is require to proceed.
