We will be hosting a very special guest this time around, Victoria Eady Butler – Master Blender and Distiller for the award-winning Uncle Nearest, the fastest-growing whiskey company in the U.S. Ms. Butler is the great-great-granddaughter of Nearest Green, the first known African American master distiller in US history. Ms. Butler is a Tennessee Native and the Director of the Uncle Nearest Foundation, Master Blender of the Year - 3 times as well as Food & Wine's Innovator of the Year.
We are excited to announce a new event partnership with Blk & Bold to bring you a Welcome and Dessert Cocktail for your enjoyment. Blk & Bold is a Black-owned, nationally award-winning coffee company based right here in Iowa that pledges 5% of gross profits annually to give back to kids across America. Head Chef Chase has put together a multi-course dinner specifically to pair with Uncle Nearest for a premium whiskey experience. Our August dinner was a sold-out sensation, and this is set to be an exceptional evening full of southern flavors and flare.
