You are invited to a special screening featuring two films sharing Ukrainian stories and experiences in Edmonton.
Silent Courage: Ukrainians in Edmonton documents the experiences of war-displaced Ukrainian newcomers who have settled in Edmonton since 2022. Silent Courage shares the experiences of Deaf Ukrainians rebuilding their lives in Alberta, including adapting to a new country, learning English and American Sign Language, finding work, and building new connections.
The screening will also feature a film about Gene Zwozdesky, reflecting on his life, public service, and contributions to Alberta’s Ukrainian community.
