As night falls over Alderley Edge, join us for a Halloween walk through the eerie woods steeped in legend.
Hear tales of the sleeping knights beneath the hill, the ghostly horseman who guards the gold, and the witch who is said to haunt the twisting paths. Pass the Wizard’s Well, where ancient magic lingers and the veil between worlds grows thin.
Dare you walk where the wizard waits… and the past still stirs in the shadows?
This October, step into the shadows of Alderley Edge for an unforgettable evening walk through history, mystery, and local folklore.
We’ll gather at The Glass House at Alderley Park before heading to the start of our route near The Wizard Pub. From there, we’ll venture into the twilight woods where ancient legends linger beneath the trees.
Guided by torchlight, you’ll uncover the eerie tales of the wizard who guards his treasure deep within the rock, the ghostly horseman said to roam under the moon, and the knights believed to slumber beneath Alderley Edge, waiting to rise again.
We’ll stop at the mysterious Wizard’s Well, follow winding woodland paths, and take in spectacular views as night falls. It’s a magical and slightly spooky experience designed for families, folklore lovers, and curious explorers alike.
