Recycled Art Contest – Rules & Instructions
Create ocean-inspired artwork using recycled materials while raising awareness about pollution and its impact on sea turtles and marine life.
Who Can Participate
Open to students in 2nd through 12th grade.
Participants will be judged within the following grade levels:
Elementary School
Middle School
High School
Art Categories
Students may submit artwork in one of the following categories:
Mixed Media
Sculptures
Artwork Requirements
Artwork must be ocean-inspired.
Projects must include recycled materials or items that could become ocean trash (examples: plastic bottles, fishing line, packaging, bottle caps, etc.).
Artwork should highlight or bring awareness to the impact pollution has on sea turtles and marine life.
Submission Deadline
All entries must be submitted to Gulfarium by April 8, 2026.

Judging & Awards
One winner will be selected per category within each grade level (Elementary, Middle, High School).
Winners will receive two general admission tickets to the Gulfarium per participant.
Community Choice Award
All entries will be displayed at CARE on the Coast TurtleFest on April 18th at the Gulfarium.
The Community Choice Award will be determined by public vote during the event.
The Community Choice winner will receive a Gulfarium annual membership for two people.
