COMPETITION AREAS
Formal Wear ~ All divisions
0-6 years and Little Miss division - wear cupcake, heirloom or age appropriate long gown, 8-21 years - wear age appropriate long gown. The pattern for the formal walk will be published at a later date. This is a natural to semi-glitz pageant. Do not use glitz walks/moves - walk gracefully and naturally. No flippers or hair pieces, please. Age appropriate make-up allowed in all competitions including interview. If you are escorting a baby or toddler contestant, please wear modest, dark colored clothing (focus should be on the contestant). It is important that the dress be altered (if needed) so the contestant can walk unhindered. There will be a group lineup following individual walks for each division.
Interview ~ All divisions EXCEPT Baby, Toddler and Tiny Miss
Age appropriate outfit of choice - we recommend Sunday attire - show your individuality but be modest. Dresses, skirts and tops, suits or jumpsuits are all ok. No shorts or jeans! Interviews will be conducted by the 3 judge panel and will be 5 minutes each. Each contestant should walk in and introduce herself prior to sitting down. The judges will be given the bio sheet filled out by each contestant but are allowed to ask any age appropriate question. Times will be assigned after 4/12.
Onstage Question ~ All divisions EXCEPT Baby and Toddler Miss
The question will be answered at the conclusion of each contestant’s formal walk. The questions will be chosen by the judges for each division and will be age appropriate.
Verbal ~ Miss only
The contestant will draw a word from a bowl and have up to one minute to talk about the word in any way she sees fit. She can say what it means to her, tell a story, give her opinion, relate it to herself or others, etc. The words will be age appropriate and commonly known. (Examples: character, honesty, humor). You will wear opening number attire for this.
Optional Photogenic ~ All divisions
Submit a color or black and white photo in 8x10 or 5x7 size. Choose a photo that is clear and focuses on the contestant’s face. Photos must be turned in no later than 45 minutes prior to pageant starting. Photogenic does not count towards overall scores and is therefore optional but one photo is included in your entry fee. You may enter additional photos for $5 each.
Parade of Beauties ~ All divisions (not judged)
All contestants will open their session of the pageant by doing a parade of gowns. It is simple and NOT judged. They will follow the queens who will lead the parade.

SCORE SHEETS
If you would like a copy of your child’s score sheet, it must be ordered prior to the pageant. Scores are $5.00 cash. Score sheets will be a blind identity breakdown of the judge’s scoring in each category for your child only. Standings will not be released and no score sheets may be ordered or made available for any request after the pageant. Judges are encouraged to leave comments. Remember that scoring is not an easy process. It is an OPINION and a different set of judges or a different day could result in an entirely different score.
