Learn the art of royal icing at the beginner's Turtle Sugar Cookie Class, located in SE Aurora, Colorado!
You’ll learn sugar cookie tips and tricks, receive award-winning sugar cookie and icing recipes, and decorate six sugar cookies with step-by-step, guided instructions. Each participant can take home their decorated sugar cookies and a gift bag with some helpful supplies!
In this class, we will discuss sugar cookie tools and supplies, learn how to make successful sugar cookies and royal icing, and see a demonstration showcasing different icing consistencies. We'll practice piping, flooding, and simple decorating styles before we dive into decorating the six cookies that make up the turtle!
The instructor will give step-by-step instructions to help you create your sugar cookies with simple techniques that you can recreate at home.
Each participant will go home with their completed sugar cookie turtle in a pastry box, sugar cookie and royal icing recipes, and a small gift bag with some tools to get you started!
This class is meant for adults; however, children 7+ and teens are allowed to join if they are interested and able to sit through the class! If a child or teen wants to join, please contact the event organizers at [email protected] to get permission.
If you've never decorated sugar cookies before, then this class is for you! The instructor starts at the beginning and walks you through everything you need to know.
REFUND POLICY:
-If you need to cancel more than one week before class, your money will be refunded. With less than one week before class, you will receive a credit to take another class within the next 365 days. If you need to cancel on the day of class, no refunds will be given.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
-Every effort will be made to hold class on the indicated day. However, If the weather forecast is unusually bad, the instructor may choose to cancel the class. If this is the case, the instructor will reach out to each registered participant via email and text (if participant provides phone number at registration) at least 2 hours before the class start time. At that time, the participant can choose to receive a refund or a credit toward a future cookie class (to be redeemed within the next 365 days).
-If the instructor decides to hold class and a participant is unable to come due to weather, no refund will be given. Instead, the instructor will hold the participant's class decorating kit for one week in Parker, Colorado, where the participant can arrange to pick it up and then decorate at home.
