Turn The Tables Presents: Because Music Works - Ukraine
About this Event
We believe that dance music’s positive impact on society is too often overlooked and undervalued. Both Turn The Tables and EnterDJ use electronic music as a vehicle for social change, creating opportunities, building communities and helping people overcome significant life challenges.
The Event
Join us for an evening of Scottish hospitality as we welcome our Kyiv-based partners EnterDJ to Scotland.
The evening will feature DJ sets from Turn The Tables and EnterDJ participants, including the two headline budding artists from our Scotland-Ukraine exchange programme. Just two days later, they will take to the stage together at Hannah Laing’s doof in the park in Dundee, closing the Highlander Stage in front of thousands of festivalgoers.
Representing Turn The Tables is Sasha, an 18-year-old, Dundee based, Ukrainian refugee and regular user of doof studios, the community DJ studio partnership between Turn The Tables, Hannah Laing and Street Soccer Scotland.
Joining her & representing EnterDJ is PereKos, a Ukrainian military volunteer injured on the front line who discovered DJing through EnterDJ as part of his recovery from PTSD and transition back into civilian life.
Guests will hear music & speeches from both organisations, enjoy networking drinks and learn how dance music is being used far beyond the dancefloor to support mental health, recovery, community building and social change.

Turn The Tables is a Scottish charity that uses DJing and music production to support young people and adults facing challenges, including homelessness, poverty, poor mental health and social isolation. Through community education & life-changing performance opportunities around the world.

About EnterDJ
Founded in Kyiv during the war, EnterDJ uses DJing and electronic music to support military veterans and civilians affected by the war in Ukraine. From helping veterans get used to life with prosthetics and rebuild confidence through music, to giving young survivors of drone attacks hope for the future.

Turn The Tables x EnterDJ
The partnership began in Ukraine in 2025 when Turn The Tables founder Robbie Tolson visited the country as part of a humanitarian and cultural delegation with Music Saves Ukraine. There, he met PereKos and the EnterDJ team, witnessing first-hand how music was supporting communities affected by war.
This event marks the next chapter in that partnership, bringing Scotland and Ukraine together through a shared belief that music can change lives.
