About the Fireside Sessions

In these times of uncertainty and division, it feels more important than ever to gather — to support one another and to keep alive the flame of solidarity, inspiration, and shared humanity.

These recurrent evenings are offered as an antidote to isolation: a space of hope and belonging, and a reminder that community, creativity, and spirit can nourish the path toward peace and unity, while also inspiring meaningful action.
Here we:

• Nurture our soul, mind, and body by sitting together in circle around the fire.
• Build and strengthen community in a safe space to simply be, to receive and to sing.
• Share meaningful and inspiring music, poems, stories, and life experiences.
• Witness and be witnessed in ways that build solidarity, mutual support, and heart-connection.
• Reignite ancient traditions of gathering, while honouring cross-cultural indigenous wisdom.
• Connect to a sense of spiritual nourishment , opening ourselves to the deeper flow and magic of life.

This ceremony will be held around the Sacred fireplace at the Salisbury Centre — a place that has been tended for over 52 years, and has held: hundreds of ceremonies songs, prayers, and blessingsmusicians, elders, and teachers from around the world countless moments of healing, grief, celebration, and community

This Firepit is deeply charged.It knows how to receive.It knows how to transform.

The Salisbury Centre’s kitchen door and toilet are now wheelchair accessible. The Garden can also be accessed by wheelchairs via a movable ramp via the Art Room Annex.
