Turkey Mountain Summer Mountain Bike Camp! Build More Confident Riders

This is the perfect "Intro to Mountain Biking" for young riders ready to leave the pavement behind. Coaches will guide riders onto the dirt to learn the fundamentals of off-road riding. From body positioning to navigating basic obstacles, this week is packed with trail riding and skill-building for adventurous youth.

Intro to MTB Camp introduces riders ages 5–12 to the fundamentals of mountain biking in a supportive, confidence-building environment.

Designed for riders ages 5–12 who are confident pedaling on varied terrain and ready to expand their trail riding skills and independence.

Our certified coaches teach foundational trail-riding skills through guided rides and skill-based challenges. Riders learn body position, braking, shifting, and how to navigate natural terrain safely and confidently.

Trail etiquette, awareness, and decision-making are emphasized so riders learn how to ride responsibly as part of a trail community.

Riders apply skills across a wider range of terrain, practicing speed control, line choice, and navigating natural obstacles. Progression is driven by confidence, control, and decision-making under more varied conditions.

Riders leave with stronger technical skills, increased independence on trails, and the confidence to take on more advanced riding experiences.

The "Ditch the Training Wheels Tour" is driven by a singular mission: to double the number of kids on bikes across the United States. While Pedal Kids USA operates year-round in Northwest Arkansas and Kansas City, this tour allows them to deploy several teams of traveling coaches to bring high-quality instruction and excitement to communities they don't usually reach and they are coming to Tulsa!
