Tunes On Tap is Newland Tap's monthly live music night hosted by two of the most special morons from across the road, Beg & Mob. Each month, two local artists will come down and play some tunes. It's free entry, however, if you are able to make a donation towards the event (cash, card, or donation via Thankyu accepted) then this will be used to support the artists, live music scene in our area, and keep events like this going. On 21st January, we are joined by local acoustic singer-songwriters, Ben Farr and Dave Bernasconi. Ben's most recently released single is titled "Old Man". Graeme Smith, Editor in Chief of York Calling describes it as: "Lively old school rock and roll is the order of the day with Old Man. It’s a track that bounces along with a classic swagger while Farr emotes its simple but effective story well. Things stay nicely jangly throughout while the vocals show plenty of Yorkshire grit. A move-inducing guitar solo is a highlight."
Dave is a well-regarded musician in Hull, he is known for his timeless, melodic songwriting. He released an album, "Lucky I Bumped Into You" in 2024 which is available to buy and stream on Bandcamp, check it out here: https://davebernasconi.bandcamp.com/album/lucky-i-bumped-into-you
