Join Gemma for an introduction to using a cut-pile electric tufting gun to create a rug!
Please book your chosen date for session 1, in this session you will be doing all your tufting and leaving your rug with glue on, this takes around 4 hours. You will then need to return to the studio for 90mins for the finishing stages (shaving & backing) Gemma will provide lots of time and date options for part 2 during your session 1 so remember to bring your diary, there will be a mixture of day time, evening and weekend options, it is really flexible and can be done as early as the day after or months later if you are a busy bee!
You will need to come with a rug design idea, it is important to note that tufting is easiest when done standing up and requires holding the 1kg tufting gun for long periods - so it is a great workout craft but might not be comfortable for all.
Upon booking you will receive a detailed email with a lots of links to inspirational rug designs and lots of top tips, you can send us your idea in advance if you want to check its suitability.
At the studio we have a choice of over 50 colours of yarn which can be selected on the day.
