***Both Intro to Pottery and Intermediate Pottery REQUIRED for participation in this class, or comparable experience.***
Now that you have some mastery over every day forms, it is time to start developing you own artistic voice.
This advanced class teaches the blending of throwing and hand building techniques to create pieces that break conventional thought, overcome some of the limitations that gravity and weight distribution can cause, and teach you the basics of how to combine and modify thrown pieces. We will be working on medium to large pieces. There will be a heavy focus on multi part pieces, cut alterations, and darting.
Price includes all clay, glazes, and firing of up to 10 pieces. Students attend once a week for 6 weeks. Classes are 2 hours long. All students also receive 6 hours of studio time to work independently. Students are required to have their own basic pottery tool kit which can be purchased online or from the studio. This is the same kit from the Intro class. This includes an 8 pieces basic pottery tool kit, bucket, large cleaning sponge, and a small towel. Class is for adults 18 and older.
Class is $298 for all 6 weeks and includes 8 hours of FREE studio time. There are no paper tickets. The only way to sign up for class is through our website directly.
