From the 1500s through to the 1800s, European ships and sailors fought each other all over the world, with sail canvas and cannon. At the same time, European surgeons fought to find ways to keep those sailors alive. Join Andrew for a surprisingly tactile look at surgery in the "Great Age of Fighting Sail."
Andrew Aulenback is a school librarian in Halifax, and a Heritage Interpreter at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.
Join us every Tuesday for free admission from 4 pm to 8 pm
We encourage you to support Feed Nova Scotia and help fight food insecurity by making a donation during your visit.
