Tuesday Night Figure Drawing @ Shelly Luan Art Gallery (FiDi Manhattan)

Join us, for our 3 hour figure drawing session – a fun and creative way to spend time with friends and make new ones while learning the basics of figure with a live model! Instruction and supplies are provided, although artists are also more than welcome to bring their own supplies. For more repeat/advanced students: further develop an understanding of figure drawing, painting, and working from life. Whether it be the basic skill sets, color theory, or art history, you will be working alongside a community and available instruction to strengthen your art practice!

Quick Rundown

7 - 7:30pm Meet & Greet

with complimentary happy hour - wine, delicious appetizers and desserts!

7:30 - 9:30pm Figure Drawing

focusing on short poses for gestural work, later working up to 15 mins poses.

9:30 - 10pm Group Critiquing and Mingling, with more drinks & snacks!

Tickets include instruction, small bites and drinks, as well as drawing supplies, although artists are welcome to bring other mediums they would like to work with. Group critiques will provide a safe and comfortable space to share work and receive feedback from both instructors and peers.

Directions

Please inform the doorman that you're visiting Shelly at Suite 411. Then, take any of the last three elevators to the 4th floor. The gallery is located directly in front of the elevators.

Guests will be asked to remove their shoes (slippers are also provided :)
