Beginning artists will develop drawing skills through guided lessons and personalized support in a creative, encouraging environment. Learn fundamental techniques such asobservation, proportion, shading, and texture to bring depth and realism to your artwork.
In this class, you will learn:
• how to observe and draw accurately
• to create depth and dimension through value and contrast
• how to breakdown complex subjects into basic shapes
• shading and blending techniques
• to add detail and texture to bring your drawings to life
By the end of the course, students will walk away with a finished drawing and gain the tools needed to continue growing as artists. All skill levels welcome.


Supply List for Students to Bring on Week 1:

  • Drawing paper (preferably large)
  • graphite pencils in a variety of H and B
  • vine charcoal
  • erasers (kneaded & white vinyl)
  • tracing tissue
  • blenders / stumps
