Monday September 23rd: Join us for the kick off of our week of Truth and Reconciliation Lunch & Learn series with speaker Isabel Daniels. Daniels will discuss MMIWG2S+ and MMIMB advocacy, Isabels experience with the Jeremy Skibicki trial, supporting the families and working with law enforcement.
Isabel Daniels Bio
My name is North Wind Standing Woman, I am from Sagkeeng First Nation, Manitoba. I have been advocating for murdered and missing indigenous persons for the last 14 years. I have worked Frontline for the last 15 years supporting our unsheltered relatives. I am a Sundancer a pipe carrier. Throughout my career, I’ve advocated for safe Spaces for sexually exploited women in Manitoba. I was successful in creating Velmas house, which is a 24 seven safe space for sexually exploited persons. My education background is Social work, and trauma therapy. I am a mother of 3 beautiful daughters. I am a MMIWG2S family member and a survivor or human trafficking and childhood sexual exploitation.
