True Colours LGBTQIA+ Sewing: Creating Pride Shields
About this Event
Join us for a creative and relaxing afternoon, learning new sewing techniques and projects and spending time with other LGBTQ+ people in a safe and social space!
We’ll be creating pride shields that celebrate identity, community, resilience, visibility and pride.
Each shield will reflect the colours of a Pride flag that feels meaningful to you. Individually, every shield tells a personal story. Together, the shields will form a larger collective artwork representing connection, solidarity and shared experiences.
The shields will be decorated using paper, fabric, collage and handmade flowers.
No previous art experience is needed, all materials are provided and our friendly team will guide you every step of the way.
