The crystalline voices of Trio Mediaeval have captivated audiences since the group was founded in Oslo in 1997. Rooted in medieval monophonic and polyphonic traditions but also champions of contemporary, jazz, and improvisational genres, the three singers—Anna Maria Friman, Ditte Marie Bræin, and Jorunn Lovise Husan—are vocal chameleons. The San Francisco Chronicle says it best: “Singing doesn’t get more unnervingly beautiful.”
