Music Moves Chicago Presents: Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba with Lauren Brooks

Join us weekly on Thursdays for a FREE Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba with Lauren Brooks from now until April 9th!

Bomba is an Afro-Puerto Rican traditional music and dance form that has survived over 400 years. Like other African diasporic performance styles, Bomba features improvised expression and collaboration between dancers, vocalists, and drummers. Participants will enjoy learning fundamental dance vocabulary, technique, and timing!

As always, class FREE and open to the public. No experience necessary, just bring a friend and a wide falda (skirt) or pañuelo (scarf) if you have one and we’ll see you there! ✨
