Join us on March 15th, 2025 for Trinidad's 1st Annual Hotdish Competition at Space to Create in Downtown Trinidad! This is a fun-filled, family-friendly event starting at 1pm. We’re looking for everyone from Colorado natives to Minnesotans, Sconnies, Michiganders, and other friends from the North, to come and share your hotdish skills!Now, if you're new to this whole hotdish thing (that’s what Northerner's call casserole, ya know) it's a true Midwestern staple. It’s not just food—it’s a way of life, a tradition that brings folks together, and something you can count on at any family get-together. Simple, satisfying, and always a crowd-pleaser, you betcha!
Whether you’re a seasoned chef or just cooking for fun, a born-and-raised Coloradoan or a friend from the North, we want you to bring your best hotdish to the table!

We’ve got three categories to choose from:
Traditional Hotdish – Gotta include something canned, frozen, or packaged. It must be layered and baked.
Non-Traditional/Creative Hotdish – Get creative! Layered and baked, but with your own personal twist.
Dessert Hotdish – Yes, dessert hotdish is a thing, and it’s delicious! Must be layered and sweet—Jell-O’s encouraged!
This is going to be such a fun day, filled with good food, great folks, great prizes for the Hotdish participants, and a whole lotta love. We can’t wait to see what you bring to the table!
