Sport Lancaster's Triathlon event will take place on Sunday 6 September 2026. The sprint-distances include 400m swim, 20km bike, and a 5km run.
Following huge annual success since 2016, Sport Lancaster's sprint-distance Triathlon returns for its 10th event this year.
Taking place on Lancaster University's Bailrigg Campus, the Triathlon can be completed as a whole by individuals, or within teams of 2 or 3, where each member completes their chosen preferred sport.
The sprint-distance sports included in the Triathlon are;
- 400m Swim
- 20km Bike
- 5km Run
The team aspect makes the event suitable for beginners tempted to Try-a-Tri, alongside seasoned triathletes taking on the whole challenge
All proceeds raised from this event will go to St John's Hospice & Cancer Care. Over the years, the Triathlon has raised over £50,000 for these charities combined. Participants' individual fundraising for one or both of these charities is encouraged, and sponsorship from friends and family also acts as a great incentive to complete the challenge!
Please note, this event is open to over 16's only.
Participants must register their place before entries close at midnight on Tuesday 25 August 2026.
Refunds can be processed until Monday 17 August.
Places can be transferred to another person Monday 31 August.
