Treasure Lab: Kids' Upcycled Trinket Workshop
About this Event
Join us for a playful, hands-on workshop where old things become brand-new treasures! Choose from a collection of pre-loved plushies, tiny animal figures, and curious trinkets, then transform them into your very own unique creation.
Using a colourful mix of recycled materials and craft supplies, you can decorate, customise, repair, or even cyborg-ify your chosen object. Add new features, invent a story, and let your imagination run wild as you give an old item a whole new life.
Along the way, we'll think about how creativity can help us reduce waste by reusing and reimagining the things we already have. Instead of throwing things away, we'll discover how even the smallest, most forgotten objects can become something special.
This workshop is all about experimenting, having fun, and seeing everyday objects in a new light. You'll leave with a one-of-a-kind treasure to take home—and maybe a new favourite keepsake too.
Due to the use of hot glue, this workshop is only suitable for children over the age of 7 years.
Tickets also include annual admission to Kendal Museum. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please note: the venue is only accesible via a flight of stairs, therefore not accessible for wheelchair users. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
