Lunchtime Talks at Kendal Museum: Packhorse Transport in Britain
About this Event
The shelves of our libraries and bookshops are full of books about canals, railways and cars, but the humble packhorse seems to have been forgotten. In this fascinating talk, Alastair Clark will examine the evidence that does exists of this forgotten but important part of our country’s history – a history which left its mark on our landscape.
