Conducted by Chaz Franke, LCSW to identify intentional strategies that will help CASA Volunteers understand the unique needs of working with trauma and develop skills to help improve self-care.
Building Safety
- Learn new ways to approach trauma experiences
- Have better understanding of the ways trauma manifests in helping relationships
- New strategies for for building safety and attunement to children
Self of the Helper
- Understand the concept of Self
- Learn the differences between multiple stressors and the risks of the work
- Develop language around how to talk about concerns
- Strategies for developing self-care and compassion
