Join Chemung River Friends, Southern Tier Reduces, and Community Arts of Elmira for a collaborative Trashy Art Exhibition. How to Apply: Submit original artwork made from trash collected from the streets or along the Chemung River, items redirected from the landfill, and/or hard to recycle items. Help us reduce the amount of trash ending up in our waterways and make something beautiful from it instead!
Application Deadline: Midnight on Saturday August 1, 2026.
All submissions must be made via the google form here: https://forms.gle/k4femP2L7iEcgZ8g8
Selected submissions will be displayed during a gallery exhibition in The Community Art Gallery at Community Arts of Elmira from September 10, 2026 - October 24, 2026.
Safety First! Please be safe when collecting materials for your art! Always wear protective equipment like gloves, choose your materials carefully and wash your hands afterwards.
